The Progress Group sponsoring Taylor Gray at Talladega

Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that The Progress Group will be featured as the primary sponsor of Taylor Gray’s No. 54 Toyota GR Supra in The Progress Group 250 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, October 24.

The Progress Group (TPG) began its journey in 1973 as Progress Pump & Machine Services, founded by Sharon and the late Aleksandar Desancic, who launched the business in a small building in Whiting, Indiana. Their vision and work ethic laid the foundation for the decades of growth that followed into a 120,000-square-foot facility that serves as the company’s main campus in Schererville, Indiana with other locations now in Alexandria, Alabama and Detroit, Michigan.

TPG has a mission to deliver their commercial and defense partners reliable, high-precision engineering, large-scale manufacturing, and sustainment solutions that strengthen its customers’ operational capability in over 150 industries and various clients. TPG prides itself on quality, responsiveness, and technical excellence to ensure every system performs at its highest potential.

“Since 1973, we have built TPG on quality, responsiveness and hard work, and that hasn’t changed,” said Stevan M Desancic, President of The Progress Group. “Fifty-three years later, we support commercial and defense customers in more than 150 industries from our facilities in Indiana, Alabama and Michigan. Having our name on the race at Talladega, close to our Alexandria, Alabama, facility, and seeing the No. 54 TPG Toyota on the track is a proud moment for our family and for everyone who works with us.”

Gray is currently competing in the O’Reilly Series Chase for the second consecutive season. This season, he has scored five top-five finishes and 14 top-10s and ranks seventh in the overall standings. The 21-year-old New Mexico native is a two-time O’Reilly Series winner after claiming victories at Martinsville Speedway (October 2025) and Kansas Speedway (April 2026).

“I’m super excited to have The Progress Group join our team at Talladega,” said Gray. “Obviously with them being the entitlement sponsor of the race too, I know they will have a lot of people out at the track and that’ll be extra motivation to put on a good show for them and hopefully get them to victory lane.”

Coverage of The Progress Group 250 at Talladega Superspeedway begins Saturday, October 24, at 3:30 p.m. ET on The CW, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
