Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers is returning to the racetrack, announcing a partnership with NASCAR driver Josh Williams for this weekend’s Timberland PRO 200 at Phoenix Raceway. The sponsorship brings together a familiar NASCAR name, a driver who knows the importance of caring for his own dog, Guerty, and a mobile grooming service operating in the Phoenix market.
Williams, driver of the No. 92 DGM Racing Chevrolet in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, has made 15 series starts this season and sits 32nd in the driver standings with 192 points entering the Phoenix race weekend.
For Lucky Dog, the partnership is more than a familiar motorsports name. NASCAR fans know the “Lucky Dog” rule, which lets an eligible lapped driver regain a lap during a caution.
“Josh represents the kind of determination and down-to-earth personality that NASCAR fans appreciate,” said Edris Yousefi, founder of Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers. “And with Guerty in his life, there’s a personal connection to what we do.”
Lucky Dog’s fully equipped grooming vans bring professional, one-on-one care directly to customers’ homes, eliminating the need to drive to a salon. The company serves pet owners nationwide and in Greater Phoenix, including Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, and surrounding communities.
“I am very excited to partner with Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers at Phoenix this weekend,” said Josh Williams, driver of DGM Racing’s Chevrolet. “Aside from driving the No. 92 Chevrolet, I am a proud Girl Dad and Dog Dad. We’re hoping to turn our luck around as we tackle the desert with Lucky Dog, so our dog at home, Guerty, can get a good bath.”
The Timberland PRO 200 is Saturday, Oct. 17, in Avondale, Arizona. The 200-lap NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race begins at 4:30 p.m. local time and will be televised on The CW.
