The Goodyear Racing Eagles chosen for all three national NASCAR Series at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend are established superspeedway tire packages.
The NASCAR Cup Series has run this setup at NASCAR’s longest oval since spring 2025, and the same tires also raced on both visits to Daytona International Speedway this year.
NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series teams will also run the same setup they used at Talladega in April. The left- and right-side tires have also raced at Daytona and EchoPark Speedway this season, respectively. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series hasn’t raced a traditional superspeedway since Daytona 500 weekend, when it ran this left-side tire. However, the series did race this full setup at Talladega last fall.
“Talladega doesn’t typically wear tires so our setups here are designed to give teams different strategy options,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s Director of Racing for the Americas. “Teams typically alternate between four-tire, two-tire and fuel-only stops, and these Goodyear Racing Eagles allow for those choices. All three series know these tire setups well and we’ve been happy with their performance so far.”
O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Craftsman Truck Series teams will also use inner liners at Talladega, as is customary on tracks 1-mile and longer.
