Brad Keselowski confirms bid to buy RFK Racing was rejected

Brad Keselowski made a bid to buy RFK Racing in its entirety, but it was rejected by the other owners of the team, the champion NASCAR driver confirmed to SBJ on Friday.

Reached for comment Friday, Keselowski confirmed his bid was recently rejected. He declined to share details about whether other financiers or private equity companies were involved in the bid and what his next move will be in NASCAR.

“I would say yes there is truth that I made an unsolicited bid to buy RFK Racing; that was denied in the last week,” Keselowski said. It was unclear how much Keselowski bid for RFK, which has two charters. But he said, “I think it was a pretty solid and significant offer.”
