| Labonte to run the car at Daytona thru at least Indianapolis (7-9-2010). Cassill ran the car at Michigan in June, making his first career start (6-7-2010). Cook attempted to make the race in Pocono but didn’t qualify (6-5-2010). Bliss leaves the #36 team and replace Aric Almirola who left to run full time in the truck series. Bliss takes over the ride as of Texas in April (4-13-2010). Miccosukee Indian Gaming left as as the primary sponsor just before Daytona Speedweeks, the team is looking for a sponsor, unknown if the team will run the full season (2-5-2010). Will run Chevy with Earnhardt Childress engines (1-30-2010). Almirola named the driver with the team planning on running full time in 2010 no word on manufacturer (1-10-2010). Team plans to run full-time in 2010, no driver named yet, but many are rumored (11-9-2009). Brad Keselowski is headed to the #12 Penske Racing team in 2010, no word on plans for this team in 2010 (9-1-2009). The team ran a full season in 2009, with three drivers. Keselowski ran a Chevy and won at Talladega in April, Finch’s first Cup win. The team ran the rest of the races in Dodges with Marlin and Bliss. | McDonald’s & Bass Pro Shops will retun in 2011, all indication are McMurray will return in 2011 (11-1-2010). McDonald’s signs on to be primary sponsor for about 11 races (3-26-2010). McMurray named to the ride under a one-year deal with Bass Pro Shops as the sponsor for about half the races (11-19-2009). EGR was rumored to be considering moving to Toyota, but will stay with Chevy (11-8-2009). Aric Almirola took EGR to court but settled and will run in the Truck Series and #09 Cup team in 2010. Martin Truex Jr. leaves EGR and goes to the #56 NAPA Toyota of Michael Waltrip Racing. Bass Pro Shops is signed thru 2010 per EGR for about half the season. | Gordon back in the #7 car at Talladega thru at least Phoenix after Conway almost fell out of the top 35 in owners points while driving the #7 with Gordon’s new energy drink as the sponsor (11-5-2010). Conway took over the car at Bristol and was to finish the season in the #7, bring sponsor Extenze with hi,. Gordon may run some races in the #07 Toyota (9-1-2010). Menards / MAPEI sponsors the car at Chicago (7-9-2010), Labonte to run the #7 car at New Hampshire after leaving the #71 TRG ride, no idea on further plans (6-23-2010). Yet another new crew chief, nothing official announced, but reports have Gene Nead as the crew chief (6-10-2010). Looks like a new crew chief for Robby as Samuel Stanley is listed on the entry form as the crew chief. Former crew chiwd Iain Watt will stay on as an engineer (4-8-2010). Former #98/#2 crew chief, Larry Carter is helping out as a consultant (3-6-2010). Monster Energy Drink to sponsor Gordon in a few races, including the Daytona 500 and Las vegas, then TBA. After a failed attempt to make the Daytona 500, the #49 BAM Racing team scaled back and will only run with Robby Gordon in the #7 Toyota for a while. If Gordon attempts to make the Indy 500, he will need a driver for some races in May. The Warner Brothers Music sponsorship has been switched over to the #7 car (3-23-2010). Gordon may run a BAM car at California, but use the #7 (1-27-2010). Iain Watt named crew chief for Robby Gordon Motorsports. Watt, who worked at Gillett Evernham Motorsports starting in 2007 and was director of performance engineering prior to the merger with Yates Racing at the end of last season, has an extensive racing background in IndyCar racing and sports cars (1-25-2010). Formed an alliance with BAM Racing, #49 Toyota team (1-8-2010). Crew chief Doug Richert left and went to the new #90 Keyed Up Motorsports team, no word on a crew chief (1-6-2010). Mapei will not return as a sponsor in 2010. Menards could sponsor a couple races (12-12-2009). Gordon says he has sponsorship for eight races in 2010 and if no more are found, may cut back to a part-time schedule (11-20-2009). Richert named crew chief after Charlotte in Oct. Supposedly former crew chief Kirk Almquist will retire and head back to Calif (10-20-2009). Jim Beam will not return to the #7 and is leaving NASCAR after 2009 (9-22-2009). No word of any manufacturer changes for 2010 after changing from Chevy to Ford [2007] to Dodge [2008] to Toyota [2009]. | ||||||

| Almirola named to drive the car at Martinsville, no word who will drive the car for the final four races (10-20-2010). Kahne was released after arguing with the team at Charlotte and looks to be headed to the his 2011 ride, #83 Red Bull Racing (10-20-2010). Kahne will leave at the end of the 2010 season and go to Hendrick Motorsports in some fashion for 2011, and to the #5 Chevy in 2012 (4-13-2010). Ran a white US Olympics scheme at Daytona and Auto Club (2-11-2010). Kahne says he will look around at other teams since his contact is up at the end of 2010 and RPM is in turmoil with all ther mergers. Since Kahne has been at ‘Evernham’ they merged with Gillett, then Richard Petty and now with Yates Racing. At one time those three teams had 8-9 teams and now are at 4. (11-20-2009). RPM merges with Yates Racing in 2010 and run Fords with Kahne, Sadler, Allmendinger & Menard, Sorenson is the driver out and is looking for a 2010 ride. No word what car numbers will be used, but bet on #9, #19 & #43 staying, with #44 and #98 as the other number or a new number like #28 or #38 (9-10-2009). Budweiser signed in 2009 to a multi-year deal and Kahne is signed thru 2010. | ||||||

Ran a March of Dimes scheme at Phoenix in April (6-10-2010). Farm Bureau Insurance sponsored the car for two races in 2009 and will not return to JGR in 2010 (12-10-2009). Brad Keselowski took over this ride at Texas in November 2009 with a new white paint scheme, the same scheme for 2010, will run full-time in 2010 and also run for the team in the Nationwide Series. David Stremme left after Talladega in November and is looking for a ride. Stremme supposedly reached a settlement with the team over his 2010 salary as he was signed thru 2010 (9-1-2009). Former crew chief Todd Parrott goes to Roush’s R&R Dept, then as the crew chief of the #19 team, named after daytona in July (6-23/7-6-2010). Todd Parrott named the crew chief after the 2010 Daytona 500 with former crew chief Drew Blickensderfer will assume a role in Roush Fenway’s research and development department (2-17-2010). Crown Royal adds more races and will serve as the primary sponsor for 35 Sprint Cup Series races in 2010 [of 38 races counting the Bud Shootout & All-Star race)(2-5-2010). Supposedly Valvoline will sponsor the car for three races in 2010, no idea which races (12-10-2009). Crown Royal will be the sponsor for 18 races in 2010, moving over from the #26 team which will closed after the 2009 season (7-28-2009). DeWalt Tools will NOT return at the primary sponsor for the team in 2010. DeWalt had sponsored the team for roughly 25-30 races a season since 1999. Irwin Tools, which was on the #26 Roush team, will not return to sponsor a car in 2010 but take over the naming rights for the August Bristol night race. Looks like USG, Carhartt or R&L Carriers will not return in 2010 as primary sponsors for any races (7-23-2009). No changes heard for the team. DuPont is signed thru 2010. Gordon is signed to a long term ‘lifetime’ deal with Hendrick, plans to drive at least thru 2013. | ||||||

| Carpentier ran the car at Michigan and Atlanta, Green in at Bristol and Richmond. Owner said he will use the best driver he can find each week, no just one driver, to finish out the season (9-5-2010). David Stremme left the team after Pocono due to differences with the team. Boris Said also left the team a few weeks before that. Carpentier drove at Watkins Glen and could drive additional races (8-11-2010). Patrick Carpentier to run the car at Watkins Glen, Said will run the #83 Toyota and is not available, Stremme to return to the seat at MIS (7-29-2010). Stremme stepped in to run the short tracks at Bristol and Martinsville in March (3-18-2010). Said says the team plans to attempt at least the first five races of 2010, Roush Fenway Racing will provide the cars and engines. Said reports that the team could start-and-park if need be (1-29-2010). Roush fashioned a “comprehensive services contract” with Latitude 43 Motorsports that gives the new team a guaranteed start in the season-opening Daytona 500 using the 2009 owners’ points accrued by Roush Fenway’s #26 Ford. Jenkins has hired North Haverhill, N.H. native Frank Stoddard as crew chief. Said was rumored, but been told he will be the driver. Darnell could come over from Roush to run for Rookie of the Year as he doesn’t have a 2010 ride (1-14-2010). Crew chief Donnie Wingo moves to the #6 car as the crew chief for David Ragan with Jimmy Fennig working on Roush Fenway’s R&D team. Driver Jamie McMurray left and will drive the #1 Chevy for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing in 2010 (11-27-2009). Look for Roush to sell the owners points for the #26 or the #6 and the #6 using the #26 owners points, which was better in 2009. Look for a team like Front Row Motorsports 2nd team, #37 to get the owners points, since they moved to Ford and will get engines from Yates/Roush and techincal support from Ford. FRM #34 team is already in the top 35 in owners points. Roush needed to trim down to four teams from five AFTER the 2009 season and the #26 team ended up being the team that was shuttered (11-23-2009) | ||||||
