1	McMurray says he and the sponsors will return in 2014 (8-24-2013). Cessna comes aboard to sponsor the #1 for 10 races in 2013 (8-23-2013). McDonald’s will sponsor the #1 for more races in 2013. Bass Pro Shops. who leave for the #14 SHR team, will be the primary sponsor for two races in 2013 (12-27-2012). Hendrick Motorsports takes over from Earnhardt-Childress Racing as engine supplier in 2013 (11-2-2012). Supposedly Bass Pro Shops will still sponsor the #1 for a few races in 2013, McDonald’s will return and LiftMaster will sponsor the car for one race, Dover in Sept 2013 (10-27-2012). Trina Solar, a Chinese solar panel manufacturer, was rumored to become a new sponsor for 9 races but haven’t heard much about that in 6 months

TBR added Charlie Langenstein as the Competition Director and Joe Lax as Crew Chief for JJ Yeley’s #36 (2-11-2013). Florida Lottery will sponsor the #7 at the three Florida races, Daytona & Homestead (2-2-2013). SANY will sponsor the car for 14 races, starting at Phoenix in March (1-31-2013). TBR switched from #36 to the #7 for their main team, a tribute to team owner Tommy Baldwin,Jr.’s late father, Tom Baldwin, Sr., who was a beloved NASCAR Modified driver, and sported the number 7NY throughout his career. The team will use points from the #10 team, which was a TBR team in 2012 (1-17-2013). TBR plans to field a two car team the #7 and a yet un-numbered team (maybe their old #36 from 2012). No word on sponsors or drivers. Ryan Blaney will not return to drive TBR’s NNS car. The team plans to use ECR and Pro Motor engines in 2013 (12-31-2012). No word if Dave Blaney returns. Crew chief, Ryan Pemberton left midseason and headed to JR Motorsports. Looks like it will not be associated with Stewart Haas Racing in 2013 as Danica Patrick will run full time for SHR in the #10 Chevy

9	Almirola and Ambrose re-signed to stay with RPM thru 2013 (11-16-2012). Drew Blickensderfer moves over from Richard Childress Racing’s #31 team after Martinsville in October. Former crew chief Mike Ford may head to BK Racing [#83 & #93](10-29-2012).Ford and RPM announced they will partner up for 2013, Stanley /DeWalt to return as sponsor, Ambrose supposedly close to re-signing (10-19-2012). Ambrose & RPM are closing to re-upping for at least another year in 2013 (10-1-2012). After Richmond in September the #9 and #43 swapped crew chiefs and crews with Todd Parrott heading to the #43 and Mike Ford to the #9 (9-11-2012). Some rumors had RPM switching to Dodge in 2013 but Dodge decided to leave the sport at the end of the 2012 season (8-7-2012).

10 [was 49]	GoDaddy.com is signed thru 2014 (7-31-2013). Has owners points from the now closed #49 team for the first three races (1-15-2013). Tony Gibson and crew move over from the #39 team starting at Martinsville in 2012 (10-19-2012). Patrick scheduled to run full 2013 season after running ten races in 2012. Greg Zipadelli named Competition Director for Stewart-Haas Racing before 2012 season and acted as Patrick’s crew chief in 2012

11	Hamlin came back a race early and started at Talladega, ran 25 laps and Brian Vickers took over to finish the race. Hamlin ran the full race at Darlington (5-12-2013). Hamlin injured in Auto Club 400 last lap accident and will miss five races: Martinsville, Texas, Kansas, Richmond and Talladega. Mark Martin will run the car at Martinsville and Vickers the other four races (3-29-2013). Hamlin signed a contract to stay at least thru 2013, probably a 3-year deal. FedEx returns as the sponsor with Sports Clips on for two races.

Stewart broke his leg in a sprint car wreck before the Watkins Glen race and Max Papis drove the #14 there. Austin Dillon will drive at Michigan in August (8-12-2013). Bass Pro Shops will be the co-sponsor for Stewart for 18 races in 2013 with Mobil 1 staying aboard and doing 11 races. 9 races are still unsponsored (10-4-2012). Office Depot will leave the sport and the #14 team after the 2012 season, Mobil 1 will return (9-2-2012). SHR expands to three full time teams with Danica Patrick running the full season in 2013. SHR needs sponsorship for the #39 car for Ryan Newman (7-17-2012)

17	Ford Ecoboost to be the sponsor at Sonoma (6-18-2013). Scott Graves, who was Stenhouse Jr.’s crew chief when he drove the #6 Ford in a few 2012 races and was the #99 Engineer, will move over to the #17 as the crew chief in 2013 (11-14-2012). Best Buy, Fifth Third Bank and Zest will return in 2012, with each increasing their commitment in 2013. With their involvement, the majority of Stenhouse’s races for 2013 are fully sponsored (9-14-2012). Matt Kenseth leaves after the 2012 season with Stenhouse taking the this ride. Kenseth heads to Joe Gibbs Racing to run the #20 Toyota. All indications are that Fennig will stay as the crew chief in 2013. No word on any plans for the team to switch from #17 to the #6,

20	Dollar General ups their races as primary sponsor to 17, with Home Depot dropping back to 21 or so (11-6-2012). Kenseth will drive the car with sponsorship from Home Depot and Dollar General. Looks like the team will keep and run the #20, Ratcliff will remain as the crew chief (9-4-2012). All indications are that and been told that Kenseth, who announced he was leaving Roush Fenway Racing at the end of the 2012 season on June 26th, will move to the #20 ride at Joe Gibbs Racing with Home Depot and Dollar General staying as sponsors. Joey Logano will leave JGR and head to the #22 ride at Penske Racing Jason Ratcliff stays as the crew chief for Kenseth

22	Pennzoil and Penske extended their contract, saying it was a multi-year deal, thru at least 2015, others reports have it thru 2018 (1-24-2013). Todd Gordon will return as crew chief in 2013 for Joey Lagaono (10-31-2012). Joey Loganao will drive the #22 in 2013 (9-4-2012). Penske Racing August 1st that AJ Allmendinger has been released as driver of the #22 Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Cup Series. Allmendinger was suspended indefinitely by NASCAR last week for a positive drug test. “Penske Racing fully supports NASCAR’s substance abuse policy and we are disappointed with AJ’s positive drug test results,” said Roger Penske. Sam Hornish Jr., will drive the #22 Dodge at Pocono and for the foreseeable future. Penske Racing will evaluate its options for a driver of the #22 car for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season (8-1-2012). Joey Logano or Trevor Bayne could take over if Allmendinger’s suspension holds up or Sam Hornish Jr. could return to the series full time unless Penske starts a third full-time team in 2013 for Horish Jr.(7-8-2012). Penske Racing switches to Ford in 2013 thru 2017 (3-1-2012). Shell-Pennzoil moved over to Penske Racing in 2011 for a long term deal, supposedly thru at least 2014, but almost left after Kurt Busch’s run-in with ESPN’s Dr Jerry Punch at Homestead in 2011.

24	The Carlyle Group acquired DuPont’s paint business, which sponsors the #24, has been rebranded as Axalta Coating Systems. The Axalta Coating Systems name will begin appearing on the #24 team in 2nd Qtr of 2013. Standox, Spies Hecker, Imron and CromaxPro will appear on the car until then (2-4-2013). Drive to End Hunger extends thru 2014, DuPont is signed thru 2013 (10-4-2012). DuPont recently sold off their paint division, no word how it will affect sponsorship or pain scheme in 2013 (9-1-2012). No word on any changes for this team. Drive to End Hunger will be the majority sponsor on the #24 team each season thru 2013, with primary paint schemes in 22 Sprint Cup races annually. No word of DuPont and Pepsi return in 2013 as DuPont has lessened it’s involvement. Gordon is signed to a long term ‘lifetime’ deal with Hendrick, and Gordon says he plans to drive at least thru 2013.

29	Harvick will leave RCR after the 2013 season and move to a 4th Stewart Haas Racing Chevy in 2014. Sponsors Budweiser, Jimmy John’s and Rheem sponsorships could go with him (11-9-2012). Crew chief Shane Wilson was released before Bristol in August 2012. Gil Martin took over as crew chief as interim but looks like he will stay the crew chief in 2013 (11-1-2012). Kurt Busch was rumored to a 4th RCR team, but it seems unlikely.(7-16-2012)

30	Parker Kligerman to run the #30 at Texas (10-16-2013). Cole Whitt. Kevin Swindell and a driver TBA took over as the driver after Richmond. No word on former driver David Streme’s plans (9-6-2013). Genny Light will be the sponsor at Watkins Glen and New Hampshire in Sept (8-9-2013). Widow Wax will be the sponsor at Martinsville. Steven Lane replaces Tony Eury Jr. as the crew chief starting at Martinsville. Eury Jr. moves to the job of director of competition, replacing Steve Hmiel, who left the team (4-5-2013). Ran the #26 in the Daytona 500 with Michael Waltrip driving, showing special tribute to raise awareness and contributions for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Former NFL Player Bill Romanowski bought a minority stake in the team and his health supplement company, Nutrition53, will be the primary in 10 events, first Texas in April (1-31-2013). Swan Energy will be the primary sponsor for a majority of the races in 2013 (1-12-2013). Michael Waltrip will run the car in the Daytona 500 (1-10-2013). Tony Eury Jr. announced as the new crew chief (12-10-2012). Brandon Davis, CEO of independent oil and gas company Swan Energy, announced he acquired Inception Racing in late August 2012. His first race as owner was at Richmond in Sept. Davis has tapped Steve Hmiel to be Swan Racing’s director of competition. Swan Racing is located in Mooresville, N.C., and will get its horsepower from Triad Racing Technologies. Swan Energy will be the primary sponsor, discussions with additional sponsors are underway and further sponsor announcements are expected early in 2013 (12-5-2012)

Cheerios takes over as the sponsor for six races after running Wheaties colors in 2012 (10-30-2012). Rumors had Kurt Busch moving to this car but RCR squashed them and Burton is supposedly signed thru at least 2013. Indications are that CAT will return as the main sponsor. No word on BB&T sponsorship

32	OxyWater signed on to sponsor the car for 24 races in 2013, and full season in 2014 & 2015. Terry Labonte ran the car at Bristol in March (3-15-2013). Schrader had Safe Skies Locks as the sponsor at Phoenix in March (2-25-2013). Labonte also ran the Sprint Unlimited at Daytona in February (2-21-2013). Hill is scheduled to run for Rookie of the Year in about 18-20 races (1-30-2013). Labonte scheduled to run the four restrictor plate races (Daytona & Talladega) with C&J Energy as the sponsor. The team plans to field one car for the Sprint Limited and may field two, for both Schrader and Labonte. Timmy Hill could run some races for the team (1-20-2013). Schrader will return to run 9-10 races in 2013 with Federated Parts as the sponsor for 8 of those races (12-10-2012).

33	Brian Scott will make his Cup debut at Charlotte in Oct (9-24-2013). Cassill moves over to a 2nd team car, the #40 and Raines runs the #33 (8-26-2013). Austin Dillon scheduled to run at Daytona in Feb, and Indy in July (with Mycogen Seeds as sponsor), Atlanta with AdvoCare (8-26-2013). John Rahlf listed as the crew chief most of the time (4-15-2013). Cassill named the full-time driver of the car. Dillon ran the Daytona 500 and will run a few other races with RCR running the team in those races. Mike Hillman, Sr. will be the crew chief when Cassill is the driver (3-1-2013). Honey Nut Cheerios was the sponsor for the Daytona 500. RCR and Circle Sport share the #33 owners points (12-30-2012). Stephen Leicht ran the majority of the races starting at Richmond in May and won Rookie of the year in 2012. Falk took over ownership after seven races from Richard Childress Racing. No word on 2013 plans or if Leicht returns to drive.

Todd Anderson comes over from BK Racing as the crew chief starting at Michigan. Finley back to his regular job (6-12-2013). Competition director Derrick Finley is acting crew chief after Crew chief Frankie Kerr moved from this team to the #38 FRM team and driver David Gilliland (4-5-2013). The team switches from #26 to #35 for the 2013 season (2-5-2013). Frankie Kerr named the 2013 crew chief (1-17-2013). From a FRM PR, Wise will return to this team in 2013 with MDS as the sponsor and run the full season (12-18-2012). Ran for Rookie of the Year in 2012 and is attempting all the races in 2012. No word if Front Row Motorsports keeps the third team running and if Wise will return in 2013. 1-800LoanMart was the sponsor for five races. MDS was another multi-race sponsor. Wise is listed as not running for Sprint Cup Series Points (i)

Wreaths Across America and TruckerFan.com will be the sponsor in the Daytona 500 (2-6-2013). Brian Keselowski will attempt to make the Daytona 500 with a sponsor that will be named at a later date. Highland Wealth Advisors will be an associated sponsor. No word on a crew chief (1-29-2013). Thru July 2012, the team made a a few attempts and starts. No word on 2013 plans and if Skinner will return in 2013 or the team will return (7-16-2012). Mike Skinner named the driver for the 2012 races the team will attempt. Skinner made the race at Darlington in May and attempted but missed Kentucky (6-30-2012). Scott Speed attempted Martinsville in March but failed to make the race in its Sprint Cup debut (3-31-2012).
