Kyle Larson holds off Kevin Harvick to win Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star race: Kyle Larson is a million dollars richer after holding off Kevin Harvick in the final 15-lap stage of the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race, an event that ended with Larson in Victory Lane and Clint Bowyer tangoing with Ryan Newman on pit road. Earlier Saturday afternoon, Larson won the Monster Energy Open at Charlotte Motor Speedway to make the All-Star Race field. Then, in the four-stage, 85-lap main event, Larson became only the second driver in the All-Star history to win the Open and go to Victory lane in the All-Star Race. [More](5-18-2019)

#42-Kyle Larson won the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway after transferring into the race by capturing the final stage win of the Monster Energy Open.

Kyle Larson won the 35th Annual Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race, his first victory in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series non-points event.
Larson becomes the second driver all-time to win the Monster Energy Open and go on to win the Monster Energy All-Star Race on the same weekend joining Ryan Newman (2002).
This is Chip Ganassi Racing’s second Monster Energy All-Star Race win – the first was with driver Jamie McMurray (2014).
Kevin Harvick (second) posted his sixth top-five finish in 19 All-Star races at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It is his 12th top-10 finish in the event.
Kyle Busch (third) posted his fifth top-five finish in 14 All-Star races at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Clint Bowyer powers to pole for Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race: Though he didn’t get into his pit stall as quickly as he would have liked in the unique Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race qualifying format, Clint Bowyer had enough speed in his No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford to earn the pole position for Saturday night’s marquee event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Though he hasn’t won a pole for a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race since he won from the top spot at New Hampshire in 2007, Bowyer had enough muscle under the hood of his Ford Mustang on Friday to beat Kyle Busch by a decisive .177 seconds.[More](5-17-2019)

#14-Clint Bowyer won the Busch pole for the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a speed of 136.371mph.
#18-Kyle Busch will start 2nd followed by #4-Harvick, #3-Dillon, #19-Truex, Jr., #6-Newman, #20-Jones, #48-Johnson, #12-Blaney and #22-Logano.
Qualifying consisted of 3 laps, plus a mandatory 4 tire pit stop.
