Chase Elliott wins his first NASCAR All-Star Race:Ā The sportā€™s reigning Most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott earned his first NASCAR All-Star Race win Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway ā€“ holding off the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch in the closing laps.Ā Elliott led 60 of the 140 laps en route to the $1.1 million paycheck. He and his father Bill Elliott join father/son combination of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. to have won the sportā€™s midseason All-Star exhibition. Interestingly, Bill Elliott won the race when it was held in Atlanta and Chaseā€™s victory at the half-mile Bristol, Tenn. short track are the only two times the event was held at a track other than Charlotte Motor Speedway.[Read More](7-15-2020)

#9-Chase Elliott won the NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
#18-Busch finished 2nd followed by #4-Harvick, #2-Keselowski, #11-Hamlin, #12-Blaney, #22-Logano, #88-Bowman, #10-Almirola, and #19-Truex, Jr.
Elliott lead at the start of the fourth stage and was never seriously challenged for the lead over the final 15 laps.
Pole sitter #19-Truex, Jr. had to start at the rear of the field due to inspection failures but finished 10th
Drivers that advanced from the Open to the All-Star race: #10-Almirola, #24-Byron, #21-DiBenedetto.
#14-Bowyer was the fan vote winner to get into the race.
Segment 1 was won by #12-Blaney, finished 6th.
Segment 2 & 3 were won by #9-Elliott, finished 1st.

#21-Matt DiBenedetto won the final stage of the NASCAR All-Star Open at Bristol Motor Speedway to advance to the All-Star Race.
#10-Almirola won the first stage and #24-Byron won the second stage, also advancing them to the All-Star Race.
The fan vote winner was #14-Bowyer. He finished second in the final stage.
Open pole sitter #34-McDowell finished 7th.

#19-Martin Truex, Jr. will start from the pole for the NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
#88-Bowman will start 2nd followed by #12-Blaney, #77-Haley, #4-Harvick, #42-Kenseth, #1-Busch, #41-Custer, #2-Keselowski, and #18-Busch.
The 16 All-Star drivers will be joined by 4 drivers for the race: the winners of the three Open race segments and the fan vote winner.

#34-Michael McDowell will start from the pole for the NASCAR Open at Bristol Motor Speedway.
#10-Almirola will start 2nd followed by #95-Bell, #47-Stenhouse, Jr., #8-Reddick, #43-Wallace, #24-Byron, #17-Buescher, #14-Bowyer, and #21-DiBenedetto.
The lineup was set by random draw with the top 12 in owners points (among those in the Open) choosing the top 12 starting spots.

The Entry Lists for the NASCAR Open and All-Star races at Bristol Motor Speedway are posted.
All 16 eligible drivers are entered for the All-Star race.
For the open, 22 teams are listed, but the #66 team will not be competing.

Race formats:

All-Star:
Four stages, lasting 55 laps, 35 laps, 35 laps and 15 laps.
Green flag and yellow flag laps will count in Stages 1-3 with only green flag laps counting in the Final Stage.
Unlimited attempts at a green, white, checkered finish.

NASCAR Open:
Three segments (35 laps / 35 Laps / 15 laps).
Winner of each segment will earn a spot in the All-Star Race as well as the winner of the Fan Vote.

Choose cone rule will be used.

To be eligible to compete in the All-Star Race, full-time drivers must have: won a 2019 or 2020 Cup Series race; won a previous All-Star Race; or be a former Cup Series champion. Drivers currently eligible include: Ryan Blaney, Alex Bowman, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Cole Custer, Chase Elliot, Justin Haley, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Erik Jones, Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Ryan Newman and Martin Truex Jr.

The final four spots in the All-Star Race field will be reserved for the two stage winners and race winner from the All-Star Open as well as the winner of the All-Star Fan Vote.
