Zane Smith gets second Truck Series win of 2022 at Circuit of The Americas: Ultimately, Zane Smith was out front when it paid off Saturday afternoon at the Circuit of The Americas road course. He led only 11 of the 46 laps – winning Stage 1, Stage 2 and then took the race lead with two laps remaining in the second overtime period to earn the victory in the XPEL 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.(Read More)(3-26-2022)

#38-Zane Smith won Xpel 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Circuit of the Americas on Saturday. The win is his first at COTA, second of the year and the fifth of his career.
Smith got the lead with two laps remaining following a second attempt at a green-white-checkered in overtime. #51-Kyle Busch led at the restart, but a three-wide challenge for the lead from #52-Stewart Friesen and #7-Alex Bowman caused the three to make contact and allowed Smith to drive off.
#4-John Hunter Nemechek finished second, followed by #51-Busch, #99-Ben Rhodes, #18-Chandler Smith, #98-Christian Eckes, #16-Tyler Ankrum, #42-Carson Hocevar, #52-Stewart Friesen. And #23-Grant Enfinger in the top-10.
Pole-sitter #20-Sheldon Creed had a rough go of things after winning the pole. His team had to change the fuel pump, dropping him to the rear at the start. He then had a transmission issue, just one lap into the race. He finished 36th.
#38-Smith swept Stages 1 and 2.
There were 10 lead changes among 6 drivers and 8 cautions for 12 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 64.908mph.

Zane Smith won the 2nd Annual XPEL 225, his fifth victory in 50 Camping World Truck Series races.

#20-Sheldon Creed won the Cometic Gasket pole for the Xpel 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Circuit of the Americas with speed of 90.985mph.
It is his first career pole. Creed however, said post qualifying that the team will likely relinquish their starting position and change the fuel pump.
