When a caution flew with 28 laps to go, #9-Noah Gragson stayed out to inherit the race lead. Despite being the only car to stay out, he went on to lead the final 25 laps en route to winning the Food City 300 Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. This is Gragson’s third consecutive win to enter the playoffs. It’s his second win at Bristol.
In a valiant late-race charge, #19-Brandon Jones finished second, just over a tenth of a second behind #9-Gragson. #21-Austin Hill placed third, with #1-Sam Mayer and #98-Riley Herbst rounding out the top five.
#16-AJ Allmendinger finished sixth, as #8-Josh Berry, #45-Stefan Parsons (best career finish), #7-Justin Allgaier and #39-Ryan Sieg completed the top 10. #39-Sieg edged out #10-Landon Cassill by five points for the final playoff spot at the Kaulig Racing entry had a mechanical failure early.
Stage 1 was won by #54-Ty Gibbs, who led the entire stage. #7-Allgaier won the second stage.
There were six lead changes among five drivers and eight cautions for 58 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 80.996 mph.
