Capping off a perfect weekend, #97-Shane van Gisbergen won the Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 250 Xfinity Series Season race at Sonoma Raceway. It’s his second career victory coming in consecutive weeks after winning at Portland last weekend. Van Gisbergen led a race-high 32 laps from the pole position.
#18-Sheldon Creed recorded his ninth runner-up finish, overcoming an unscheduled pit stop from early in the race. Three-time road course winner #1-Sam Mayer finished third, with #32-Austin Green and #21-Austin Hill rounding out the top five. Van Gisbergen moved Hill out of the way on a restart with 11 laps remaining.
#7-Justin Allgaier, #81-Chandler Smith, #20-John Hunter Nemechek, #00-Cole Custer and #48-Parker Kligerman completed the top 10.
#97-van Gisbergen won the opening stage, earning his first career stage victory. #19-Ty Gibbs won Stage 2.
There were three lead changes among three drivers and four cautions for 14 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 71.986 mph.

His speed of 95.933 mph was nearly four-tenths of a second ahead of second place #19-Ty Gibbs (95.458 mph).
