Ron Norick, co-owner of L&R Motorsports, announced today that effective July 12, 1997, the team will temporarily suspend operations of the National Hockey League-sponsored NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race truck driven by Lance Norick. The NHL has a long-standing partnership with Dodge and due to that relationship it will be necessary to convert the team to Dodge equipment before the end of the season, Norick said.
