Update: Just wanted to clarify the comment about KFC being the first to sponsor teams in all three major NASCAR series. While Goodwrench and DuPont did sponsor teams in all three, these teams were related, ie., Childress owned the Truck and Winston Cup while Earnhardt owned the Busch team sponsored by Goodwrench and Hendricks owned the Winston Cup and Truck teams sponsored by DuPont. Craven’s team was the only independent team with DuPont sponsorship. What KFC as done differently is take three separate and independent teams and form a single “team” under one sponsorship package. It maybe a slight distinction as it is unique in it’s design and intent(7-19-97)
