Here is some news I hear about the Richard Petty financial situation: I hear from someone close to the team that Richard Petty is NOT in financial trouble. It seems a lady opened a furniture store and used his name for marketing purposes…with his permission….and she filed bankruptcy and that is how the rumor got started(10-6-97)
