Rusty Wallace confirmed Saturday that engine builder Mike Ege has left the Penske South team. Wallace failed to finish 11 races in 1997, and eight of those were caused by engine problems.(Charlotte Observer) Ege has landed a job with Pro Motors who build engines for the #’s 7,8,9,10,15 and 23 teams(1-11-98)
