Steve Park crash

During WC practice in Atlanta on Friday, March 6th, which was televised in the Qualifying time slot, Steve Park had a really nasty crash and had to be cut out of the car. The only update on his condition is he is conscious, and aware of what happened. It was a scary wreck because after hitting the outside wall three times, he wound up crashing on pit road, and almost hit Jimmy Spencer’s car also. I now here that Park has a broken right leg and that Phil Parsons will attempt to qualify and race the car. No idea who a long term replacement will be at this time for Park. Mike Wallace and Dale Earnhardt, Jr are among the rumored drivers so far. More news on this story at Park breaks leg in Atlanta accident – NASCAR Online.(3-6-98)
