Sacks remains in hospital

Greg Sacks is still in the hospital recovering from his accident at Texas. Results of a CAT scan and numerous MRI’s have all come back negative. Sacks had complained of numbness and weakness in his left arm. Sacks stretched the nerves in the brachial plexus, the nerve center for the arm located behind the collar bone. Commonly referred to as a “stinger,” this type of injury is common among professional football players. Symptoms can include weakness, numbness or a tingling sensation in the arm. Sacks will remain at Parkland Memorial Hospital as doctors continue to monitor his progress. Car owner Cale Yarborough will make a decision on who will drive the Thorn Apple Valley #98 Ford at Martinsville pending a final consultation with Sacks’ doctors.(NASCAR Online)(4-8-98)
