When questioned about rumors that Greg Sacks and crew chief Mike Hillman were “on their way out,” Cale Yarborough was adamant in his response. “Greg and Mike are a part of Cale Yarborough Motorsports,” Yarborough said. “Sure, we hoped to be a little higher in the point standings, but things take time. We have a lot of new people on the team. It’s going to take time to get it all together, and I’m happy with the progress I’ve seen. Mike has done a real good job for us. When Greg is ready to get back in the driver’s seat, we’ll be waiting for him.”(NASCAR Online), this puts to rest those rumors I posted last week about Sacks and Hillman being ‘on the hot seat’.(4-8-98)
