Tim Enderle, a crew member and rear tire carrier for Cale Yarborough’s #98 Winston Cup team, and his girlfriend, Teresa Marlowe of Matthews, were involved in a one-car accident Monday morning at about 5:30am just outside Harrisburg. Enderle was not injured, but Marlowe was killed when the 1993 Mitsubishi she was driving struck a tree as she rounded a curve in the road. The N.C. Highway Patrol reported Marlowe was traveling well above the posted 55 mph speed limit and lost control of the car. Marlowe was 25. The couple was on its way to Yarborough’s shop when the accident happened and were planning to be in Martinsville for Monday’s race.(That’s Racin’), my thoughts and prayers go out to Marlowes family.(4-20-98)
