In part from Marty at MRN on-line(www.mrnnet.com): Speaking of Elliott Sadler, plans are all set for his NASCAR Winston Cup run at Charlotte. The car will be number 92 and the sponsorship deal for five races is done. However, the look for a full-time NASCAR Winston Cup sponsor for the Diamond Ridge team has slowed down a bit. Remember we(Marty) reported here two weeks ago that an inked sponsor deal was imminent for this bunch but Bechtel says the target has been shifted. “We’re looking towards Charlotte to make a sponsor announcement for the Winston Cup team and we also will announce the sponsor for five Winston Cup races this year for Elliott Sadler at Charlotte.”(4-22-98)
