Getting all kinds of email from folks who are reading rumors on the www.pettyracing.com Message Board that Hot Wheels will leave the #44 PE2 team and Kyle Petty at the end of the season and that the car will be orange in 1999. No source of mine could confirm either rumor and I have heard nothing elsewhere. My understanding is that Petty is on the second year of a 2-year deal, no idea what is up here.(6-12-98)
