NASCAR racing fans in Indianapolis are gearing up for a unique opportunity. They will meet some of their favorite Winston Cup drivers at the third annual Indiana Ford Stores “Ford Fan Appreciation Day” on July 29. Last year’s event drew approximately 15,000 fans, and Ford officials expect the 1998 event will attract an even larger crowd. The Ford Fan Appreciation Day precedes the Brickyard 400, and will take place at the RCA Dome on Wednesday, July 29 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Drivers slated to attend include: Brett Bodine, Jeff Burton, Bill Elliott, Kenny Irwin Jr., Mark Martin, Jerry Nadeau, Kenny Wallace, Michael Waltrip, and Rusty Wallace along with some of the Truck drivers.
