George Elliott, father to Winston Cup driver Bill Elliott, passed away last night at his Dawsonville, Ga. Home. Elliott, who had been treated and operated on earlier in the year for a brain tumor, was 74 at the time of his passing. Elliott will be staying home to spend time with his family. Matt Kenseth will drive the #94 for Elliott this weekend. George Elliot is survived by three sons – Bill, Ernie and Dan.(GoRacing).
