The unusually high tire wear yesterday, particularly on right fronts, means that Goodyear will almost certainly come back with a different tire for the July 4 race at Daytona and Goodyear’s rollover contract with NASCAR virtually precludes any move by Firestone to get into Winston Cup racing.
