In one of the many multi-car crashes in the NAPA 300, Andy Santerre broke his leg and CBS reported that his wife said he would be flying to North Carolina for surgery and the he would probably be out of action for six months(CBS)(2-13-1999) – Santerre was flown home to Charlotte where he will undergo surgery on Monday morning to repair the damaged leg and will miss several months of racing due to the injury.
