Brad Akins, owner of Akins Motorsports, announced today that he has promoted Doug Stringer to the position of General Manager of the Akins Motorsports operation. Stringer, who has been with the organization for 18 months, will assist Akins in management of the team’s new facility located in Concord, N.C. His duties range from coordinating team personnel, administrating needs of both Crew Chiefs, to other on-site activities at the new Akins Motorsports complex(Keystone PR)(5-12-1999)
