NASCAR has informed all teams in its Truck series that all-weather tires, or ?????rain tires,???? will be used in each of the series’ three road course races this season in case of inclement weather. The first road course race of the series is the Grainger 225 June 18 at Portland (Ore.) International Raceway. Earlier last week, NASCAR Grand National series director John Darby informed his team rain tires would be used at the road course race at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) on June 27 in case of bad weather(That’s Racin’)(5-17-1999)
