this is the lastest I could find, dated May 26th: Recovering Rick Carelli is ?????walking, talking and giving orders???? after suffering multiple injuries in the May 8 Memphis 200 at Memphis Motorsports Park in Tennessee. Carelli, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran driver who races the #6 RE/MAX Chevrolet Silverado, was released from a hospital in Memphis in mid-May and returned to the Denver area to continue his recovery. He will recuperate at his Arvada, Colo., home.(Remax Racing Page) and two more recent notes: Rick came by the shop today, has 20/20 vision but wears a patch, eyes still crossed, sat in the Texas truck and plans to be back racing around Richmond and?????.Rick comes by the Race Shop about once a day. Still having a trouble with eye sight. The team is sitting out the next two races(these were dated June 12th and 14th at the Racin Around site)(6-17-1999) – UPDATE 2: Carelli is now at the shop almost daily????? healing progressing very well. Eye problem should be self-correcting in time, but the bone injuries will heal faster. The team, which had contested every NCTS race since the original ?????TNN Winter Heat???? demonstration series, will likely sit out until Rick is ready to return. No return date set at this time(6-19-1999)
