I hear there be a press conference involving Richard Petty and Danny Sullivan, Thursday, July 1, at Daytona International Speedway. I have no clue or idea’s what this is about, no specualtion needed — Not sure how Petty’s illness will effect this announcement as I hear he will NOT be in Daytona — UPDATE: Petty couldn’t be there, but the announcement was that Pontiac is making 1000 special Pontiac Grand Prix’s, 5 each for each of the King’s 200 wins(ESPN2 Qual) — UPDATE 2: The Petty family announced that Pontiac will produce 1,000 limited-edition Richard Petty cars that will cost $50,000 each and feature 300-horsepower engine, carbon fiber instrument housing, Petty autographed leather interior and high performance suspension and brake package( News and Record )
