thought this was pretty neat – This fall Dr. Dan Pierce, is offering a course at the University of North Carolina – Asheville entitled “Stockcars and Southern Culture.” The class has almost filled in preregistration. One of the course requirements will be for students to check the Jayski page at least once a week and write a summary of significant articles they find there.(geez..who would have thought) — Also: The Atlanta History Center is gearing up for a major exhibit on the history of stockcar racing in the South.
