Central Piedmont Community College will offer a four-week course called “A Rookie’s Guide to Racing,” beginning Tuesday night, Sept. 7, at the school’s main campus in Charlotte. The class will meet each Tuesday night in September, ending with a trip to Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Sept. 28. Former Winston Cup driver and current ESPN racing analyst Benny Parsons and Grand National series rookie Tony Raines will participate in the course. Celia Klein, owner of a Cornelius-based motorsports marketing firm, will lead the class.
