Speedwords is hearing that Wally Dallenbach is not letting the Hendrick door hit him in the butt on the way out and has have been told he has already had discussions with Melling and Robert Yates and at least one other team who “might be in need of a driver” in the near future. That means somebody is about to lose their ride but doesn’t know it yet. Watch for Dallenbach and probably other drivers to change teams before the year is out. It’s getting common for teams outside the top 10 in points to make changes near the end of the current year rather than wait for Daytona. This way they have some time to get everyone aquatinted an hopefully get a better start in 2000( Speedwords )
