Sterling Marlin will drive in this weeks BGN race for this weekend’s NAPA 200 at the Michigan Speedway, TRACFONE Pre-paid Cellular’s orange and neon green motif will grace the #14 Monte Carlo. This is the first of several Busch Series races that will feature the TRACFONE design. This isn’t the first time you’ll find him driving an orange Chevrolet this season. In April, the two-time Daytona 500 winner got behind the wheel of a specially-painted University of Tennessee Chevrolet for the Busch Series events at the Nashville, Tenn., Speedway and the Bristol, Tenn., Motor Speedway. The orange and white checked entry made its debut in the BellSouth Mobility 320 at the Nashville Speedway. Marlin secured the outside pole and led much of the event until a blown right rear tire and a mishap with a tow truck ended his afternoon. He followed up that performance with an eighth-place finish in the Moore’s Snacks 250 at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The UT machine will make another appearance in the Food City 250 at Bristol in August and in the Memphis 250 at the Memphis, Tenn., Motorsports Park in October(PR)(8-19-1999)
