By completing 197 laps to finish 33rd Sunday, Marcis edged ahead of Darrell Waltrip. He has now completed 17,948 miles (8,974 laps) in 56 Winston Cup races at the 2-mile superspeedway. Marcis had lost the record in June when he failed to qualify for the second consecutive race at Michigan. Meanwhile, Waltrip completed 195 laps to log 17,768 miles (8,884 laps)(Infobeat)
