Legendary team owner Bud Moore has sold a majority of his NASCAR racing team to West Coast businessmen Randy and Robert Fenley, and the newly christened Fenley-Moore Motorsports team will attempt to qualify for “two or three races” yet this season before taking on the entire 2000 schedule. Moore, at Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend for the Goody’s Headache Powder 500, said he had sold the majority of the team to the Fenleys, who bought into Jeff Davis’ NASCAR Winston West team and took it to Indianapolis in an attempt to qualify for the Brickyard 400. Moore said veteran crew chief Joey Knuckles signed a contract with the team. As for drivers, Fenley said the selection is an ongoing process. He also said the driver choice does not hinge on sponsorship and they hope to sign a sponsor soon( TNN Motorsports Site )
