With financial backing from Conseco, an Indiana-based insurance and investment firm, Foyt will launch a one-car team at Daytona in February. No driver has been hired. The team will be based in Charlotte while Foyt continues to run his Indy Racing League operation out of Houston. Foyt plans to continue on the IRL circuit with current drivers Kenny Brack and Billy Boat( Tennessean/Garnett ) Also a few readers tell me there is a full page advertisement in todays New York Times (Back of Sports Section ) that has a picture of the #14 Conseco car. Caption reads Why would AJ Foyt Want to Work with a financial services company? You should see the company car. The ad also says that after years of following NASCAR, they are introducing Team Conseco with team leader AJ Foyt.
