Elliott-Marino Motorsports L.L.C. — the Atlanta-based team put together by Nascar driver Bill Elliott and NFL quarterback Dan Marino — filed the lawsuit in Dallas district court on Aug. 26. The suit claims that FirstPlus has failed to make $1.7 million in payments on its 1997 contract with Elliot-Marino, plus $200,000 on a separate contract to promote a FirstPlus subsidiary, Vanstar Corp.
