Roush News:

Jack Roush likely will have five Winston Cup teams next season, one way or another. Team officials say the outlook has brightened for the #16 car, driven by Kevin Lepage, but more serious questions now hover over Johnny Bensons #26. Benson will leave the team after the season, and sponsor Cheerios will a) transfer its primary sponsorship to Richard Pettys No. 43, and b) scatter among the Roush teams as an associate, leaving the #26 with no primary sponsor and no driver. Roush representative Stephanie Marquez said it appears very possible there will be no #26(Roush team) next season, although anything can happen, she added. Meanwhile, TV Guide appears enthusiastic about stepping up its efforts around Lepage and the No. 16, Marquez said. In addition, Roush will add the #17 team of Matt Kenseth, with Roush superstar Mark Martin at some level of ownership. Roushs other three teams those of Martin, Jeff Burton and Chad Little will continue unchanged at least for one more year, Marquez said( From Racer Magazine Site by Ben Blake )
