I hear Ricky Rudd has food poisioning and may miss out on practicing the #10, unsure if he’ll qualify the car — UPDATE: Ricky Rudd, whom everyone hoped to question Friday about his pending deal to drive Robert Yates #28 next year, took sick overnight and did not participate in Winston Cup practice Friday. Elton Sawyer practiced Rudds #10 in the morning session. Team spokesman Kirby Boone said Rudd had food poisoning and had visited the infield care center, but that he planned to practice in the second session and qualify in the evening. Rudd later was seen being loaded into a car as if to leave the track.
