Today’s Winston Cup Scene mentions a rumor about #25 BGN and #83 ARCA Owner Ed Rensi buying the #94 Bill Elliott Team. Hadn’t heard this before, but it says Rensi, a retired president of McDonald’s, insisted that the rumors are just speculation. Rensi said he’d like to be a Cup owner at some time but feels he has a lot to learn and has to pay his dues first. Bill Elliott’s wife, Cindy also denied the rumor. Elliott will lose the McDonald’s sponsorship AFTER the 2000 season
