Al Unser Jr. is concentrating on the immediate future his final three CART races of the season and holding off on any decisions about the more distant future. Unser said Monday that Rick Galles is one of several car owners with whom he’s negotiating for the 2000 season. Unser, who has been linked to Galles’ IRL team and Cal Wells’ new NASCAR Winston Cup team, also has been negotiating with other teams. Galles said Unser has received significant offers from teams in Winston Cup, CART and the IRL. Asked for specifics, Unser declined to name names( Racer Magazine )
