The whole thing was a figment of Musgrave’s extremely fertile imagination, dreamed up on the spur of the moment and floated simply to test people’s appetite for gossip. “Of course,” Musgrave conceded Thursday. “Somebody comes up to you and says, ‘You’re done with this job. You’re out of here. And, oh, by the way, what are you doing next year?’ “What do you come up with?
