Team SABCO owner Felix Sabates is scheduled to announce his teams full-time return to the NASCAR Busch Series in 2000 on Saturday, Oct 9th. The sponsorship contract will consist of a three-year agreement with a rookie driver(SABCO PR) David Steele? — UPDATE: Felix Sabates will have a pair of full time BGN operations for Blaise Alexander and USAC ace Dave Steele, the latter with the Channellock sponsorship according to Sabates. Although Alexander was running TracFone on his Team SABCO entry at Lowes Motor Speedway this weekend, final sponsorship arrangements are not yet completed on that car. Sabates will also field two partial Busch efforts, one for Kenny Irwin, who will replace Joe Nemechek in the #42 Winston Cup car, and the other for young Mexican driver Jimmy Morales. Morales’ car will be sponsored by TracFone, a cellular phone company owned by a Mexican conglomerate. It was TracFone who brought Morales to Sabates attention. The youngster will make his first appearance for Team SABCO in the hotwheels.com 300 at Homestead, Nov. 13.
