#42 Cup driver Joe Nemechek was involved in a single vehicle accident just after leaving Concord Regional Airport on Sunday. Nemechek was not injured, his wife Andrea was hospitalized at Northeast Regional Medical Center with minor injuries and but is expected to be released Tuesday. Andrea is 8 months pregnant with their 2nd child, but none of the injuries, described as bruises and possible broken ribs, affecting the pregnancy. Nemechek’s mother and and father were also in the car as well was Nemechek’s son John Hunter. Nemechek’s mother was treated and released at the hospital, his father and son were not injured. According to the Nemco spokesperson, Nemechek was leaving the airport on Poplar Tent Road and, unaware that the street had been reconfigured to include a new abrupt turn, drove the vehicle into a ditch( NOL /AP) — UPDATE: Joe Nemechek will not be testing the #33 in Talladega on Tuesday to be with his wife, I hear Bobby Hillin is testing the #33 car for Petree Racing
