NBC’s first NASCAR broadcast didn’t do so well, rating wise, as the Pennzoil 400 drew the lowest preliminary ratings of any Winston Cup race in at least four years. The broadcast drew a 3.0 overnight rating (approximately 2.8 million households) and a 7 share( Tennessean ) — UPDATE: While the NBC telecast of the inaugural Winston Cup race from Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday did not make up in ratings what it lacked in production values, it did draw a fair sized audience.
