John Adam Cheek, the 20-year-old son of Mike Cheek, the crew chief for the #14 Ford of Rick Crawford, is currently in the trauma center at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC, after surviving a gunshot wound to the head last Friday. Mike Cheek had set up the #14 truck for the Martinsville race. Crawford qualified 18th-fastest on Friday. Cheek may miss Saturday’s NAPA 250 depending on his son’s condition(That’s Racin’) Best wishes go out to Cheek and his family(4-8-2000)
