UPDATE: Glenn Allen has been selected to drive the #82 Channellock/Team SABCO Chevrolet for the Busch Series event at California Speedway on April 29. Allen, a four-year veteran of the NASCAR Busch Series, has not had a full-time ride for the 2000 season. He was crowned with the 1996 Rookie of the Year honors and holds 17 top-10 and two top-five finishes to his credit. Rookie contender, Dave Steele began the season behind the wheel of the #82 Chevy. Another rookie, Derrick Gilchrist took over driving duties three weeks ago at Nashville and returned at Talladega(SABCO PR)(4-24-2000)
UPDATE 2 on the #15 and Gilchrest: looks like Derrick Gilchrist will not run at California as Mike Skinner will make his #15 Albertson’s Chevy debut there instead. Skinner will also race the #15 at Lowes in both BGN races, Dover in both BGN races and Phoenix(IMG Motorsports PR)(4-25-2000)
