Parker OK: Hank Parker Jr. had qualified in 10th position for Saturday’s CarQuest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Hank was participating in final Busch Series practice (a.k.a. Happy Hour) on Friday at approximately 1:30 p.m. EDT, and crashed in Turn 2. Hank was transported to University Medical Center in Charlotte for a precautionary CT (a.k.a.catscan) and was released shortly afterward. He is okay – although he has a headache. He is cleared to race and will drive his backup car (Night Train) on Saturday. Unfortunately, rules dictate that he start the backup car at the rear of the field (43rd).(Team Marines PR)(5-27-2000)
