Prior to Thursday nights Speed Street pit-crew competition, the two Joe Gibbs Racing teams, representing Tony Stewart and Bobby Labonte, decided to give any proceeds from the affair to victims of last weeks pedestrian-bridge disaster at Lowes Motor Speedway. Stewarts team finished second, earning $3,000, and sponsor Home Depot quickly agreed to match that amount(Gaston Gazette) Ricky Rudd’s #28 crew won the competition(5-28-2000)
