The Wood Brothers Winston Cup #21 CITGO team and its driver, Elliott Sadler, will begin running cars built by Roush Racing in the July 1 Pepsi 400 at Daytona. Team co-owner Eddie Wood said he has reached an agreement with Roush Racing owner Jack Roush to race cars supplied by Roush’s operation throughout the 2001 season. The Roush-built Taurus that Sadler is scheduled to drive in Daytona is an “early” delivery on that order, and Wood said the team may use Roush cars in a few other races this season. The Wood brothers have used Roush engines for two years(in part from the Greenville News)(6-16-2000)
